Unfortunately when I finally get through the whole file download, I get hit with the message below and have no idea how to fix it. Through some googling I saw that you may have to manipulate files within the Program Files(x86) directory but I can't seem to find a /Turbine or /Lord of the Rings Online folder within that.

Hey all, I know by now all of you have probably heard numerous accounts of this problem where when I install the game, I cannot actually play it because the game will freeze when updating files in the launcher. browse to your lotro install folder and rename both client_highres.dat and client_highres_aux_1.datx to .old, this will mean lotro is not able to recognise the files and you will loose the highres textures this is what we want The problem is that one of the files you are downloading is corrupt -- it might be that when you first tried to download it, you encountered a communications glitch on your incoming line, and that corrupted the file as it was written to disk. Oct 9, 2018 so.how to get launcher working again to re-download the patch or is Lotro patches are basically "inserted" into the big DAT files you see in "Resources". All of the .dat files will be visible in this folder. A PDF copy of the Turbine LOTRO Game Manual is included in every download (PC or Mac).
